Thoughts on WWE NXT (airdate 2/23/10)

When Vince McMahon made the announcement about the end of ECW and the birth of WWE NXT, he really talked that shit up while being very vague about what the concept on the show will be. So far, they're portraying the idea that the "winner" of this mock reality show will make their way up to the main WWE roster. Staying in the mindset that the main goal going forward should be to ultimately make new stars, I welcome the idea that WWE is creating an outlet with NXT to give someone other than HHH and John Cena some time on TV.

Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan) debuts on WWE NXT

For my first post on this next level blog shit, I'm going to post a gif of Bryan Danielson (new WWE legally-tweaked name now Daniel Bryan) doing a suicide dive in his debut match with World Hvt. Champion Chris Jericho. I haven't even seen the WWE NXT debut show yet, but this spot is pretty incredible (and a little scary) to watch. I'll expand more on this show once I catch the episode, but this gif is worth a post in itself. I've been really excited to see how WWE creative will mold Bryan into a WWE Superstar. Having a dream match with Jericho isn't a bad start at all. Anyway I'll let the gif do the talking, until next time....

i am going to add a lot more to this blog eventually but right now i'm just trying to get it off the ground, so give me a break. i know i'm no pwtorch or wrestlescoop. but those are news sites and they have insider information. i'm just talking about all the cool things and all the bad things about wrestling in my spare time.

IMPACT THOUGHTS (02/18)

the pope, don't like this dude. he reminds me of r truth, and that's not that good. out comes styles and flair. the best heels in the business right now i think. styles is a great wrestler, total babyface until flair showed up and totally turned him around in one night pretty much.

daffney, i'd hit it. the tna knockouts are the best women wrestlers i've seen. they beat the shit out of eachother and they actually land their spots. they do a lot of the same things that the male wrestlers do, unlike the wwe divas, who have quick matches with missed spots and embarrassing moves. daffney gets disqualifed for hitting tara with a toolbox. divas never use weapons either, another point for the knockouts. daffney then gets tara on the ground, covers her with some of the ringside barrier and hits her with a chair a few times, rules!

orlando jordan vs. samoa joe. this should be a no brainer. samoa joe is definitely in my top 3 favorite wrestlers. he style is so unique and his repertoire of moves is amazing. well, joe lost, but that's cause bischoff freaked him out before hand.

RING OF HONOR THOUGHTS (02/15)

necro butcher loves the weed, that's why i like necro. also, eddie kingston and necro as a tag team? dude? necro just put a plastic bag over joey ryans head and then picked him up on his shoulder and tossed him over the barrier into the crowd. watching necro butcher is like watching the drunkest dude in the world throw punches and get weapons.

kevin steen is the man. his promos are pretty good but his promo tonight was a little awkward.

skullcrusher rasheed brown is a pretty sweet dude. he came to the ring yelling "i especially hate you, i'ma hurt 'em baaaad." well he totally dominated this noname dude they hired to take this beating. and browns finisher is definitely in my top 10.

awesome "shut the fuck up" chant during sonjay rutts humiliating promo in the ring.

kevin steen vs. delirious. should be a good match. kevin steen just totally dominates while simulteanously making fun of everyone in the crowd. kevin steen is a great heel and his finisher pile driver is fucking awesome, he's really been dominitating lately. and he's fast for a big guy. dilerious nails an awesome belly to back suplex. steve corrino walks out and causes a distraction and steen gives a great neck buster on his knee. kevin steen wins with sbumission reversal when delirious tried to go for the top rope with his finisher shadows over hell. kevin steen "mr. wrestling" wins again!

tyler black is the new roh champ which kind of blows. tyler black talks too weird. and austin aries ia a great heel.

briscos vs. the young bucks shoud be a sweet ass match next week.

MONDAY NIGHT RAW THOUGHTS (02/15)

raw starts, i hit fast forward on the dvr for the first few minutes because i don't care about this shitty america song, now we're at orton vs. sheamus. i was telling darryl when this match started that something big was gonna happen and it wouldn't be a normal pin or submission finish. match starts and in about 6 minutes legacy comes out and sheamus gets orton from behind. legacy interfere outside and get orton disqualified. the all get in the ring and start arguing then orton hits cody rhodes with the rko, holy shit. sheamus gets dibiase with a huge ass boot, and orton rkos sheamus. orton is the last one standing, that's tight. because ortons the man. did anyone else hear ortons little girl scream before he hit sheamus with the rko?

we come back from a commercial and there's the mcmahon/bret hart promo. "you deserve to be screwed" is why i love vince mcmahon. hilarious dude.

and now old ass bret hart is standing in the ring. "you need to dye your roots dude", says britt. bret harts hair matches his tan. does he have an all purpose bronzer?

bret hart has always talked about how he was never going to work for wwe again. and he's back. i just kind of feel bad for him. this whole feud is all about the money for bret right now i think.

john cena used to be badass. when he started he was pretty sweet. now he is just super annoying. i hate how this bret hart car accident thing happens and then they show a replay, shits weak dude. where's the wrestling?!

the miz looks good with three belts. i like how the big show wears the belts in their intro, carlito did it first though.

jerry springer, great. syke! santinos shirt rules. this skit kind of sucks though. where's the wrestling?! santino totally dropped the bomb on jerry the kings son, brian christopher aka grandmaster sexay of too cool aka too sexy of too much. apparently, this jerry springer promo is all about the, dare i say, "d list superstars". the bella twins, kelly kelly, santino, chris "you should probably wear a bra" masters, eve torres, the great khali, hornswoggle. i can't believe these people can even call themselves wrestlers. none of these wrestlers win matches. the bella twins haven't been in a match in so long. the great khali is not even on raw! is this the only jerry springer appearence of the night? i really hope so.

dude are you fucking serious, mae young rolls out in her casket to give springer a kiss? really?

kofi vs. dibiase was tight. i'm glad dibiase won, kofi can't beat him. dude, he's the million dollar mans seed yo, pfft come on. anyway, saw one of kofis dreads on the mat after dibiase hit the dream street, which is a sweet ass finisher.

bret hart car accident replay number two. so this is my third time watching this promo.

caught some blood on shawn michaels in the elimination chamber promo.

honestly, i feel like there aren't enough powerbombs or pile drivers anymore. maybe they're two dangerous for wwe? well, the batista bomb to cena on the steel steps was tight as hell.

triple h doesn't come out with the dx theme song. what does this mean? no more dx? cena fucked up in the first lock up, what a dope. cena reversed the pedigree outside the ring. looked like a good bump. i can't take that as good as he did. cena gets in his top 4 moves of course, right in a row. off the ropes shoulder block, shoulder block, suplex, five knuckle shuffle. how can people really believe these moves can happen consecutively so often? sheamus ends the match, destroys hhh and cena.
